Happy Menstrual Hygiene Day!

In 2014, WASH United created a special initiative. Their goal was to break the silence around menstruation and encourage communities to

create a world in which every woman and girl is empowered to manage her menstruation safely, hygienically, with confidence and without shame, where no woman or girl is limited by something as natural and normal as her period

Their goal was to bring together nonprofits, individuals, government agencies, and more to promote health and shame free menstruation.

In 2018, Cross World Africa launched its first menstrual health initiative. Our team spent 3.5 months in Kenya, and through a partnership with the Golden Girls Foundation and Ruby Life Ltd., we were able to bring over 900 Rift Kits to school girls in Kenya. Our kits included a Ruby Cup, a reusable menstrual cup that can last for up to 10 years, a reusable bag, a notebook, and a bowl to boil the cup at the end of each period.

With your help, we can do that again in 2019. In just a few weeks, the team returns to Kenya. Can you donate $28 for the 28th? 100% of all proceeds go to ensuring school girls in Kenya receive a Ruby Cup and a menstrual health education.
