Kibera Barber Project

Cross World Africa is excited to announce its Kibera Barber Project, an entrepreneurship-focused community development project in the heart of Nairobi's largest slum, Kibera.

With the help of local collaborators, this project will provide barber kit essentials for five to ten prospective barbers-in-training in the Kibera slum. The tools of this trade will enable young men and women to jump-start their own business. However, the barbers will be required to give back to the community by giving free haircuts to 500 needy children who participate in the Kibera Food Bank Project.

This project is possible because of CWA's ongoing partnership with YMCA Central School and local community organizer Kenneth Owade.
